I was captivated by the opening story of the woman who transformed almost every aspect of her life. The really fascinating part was that, through brain scans, scientists were able to peer inside her brain and actually see the neurological changes that occurred as her habits changed. They could pinpoint where new self-discipline resided in her brain, and how, by changing just one habit, she was able to transform her entire life. The book tells inspiring stories and, in engaging language, explains the science behind the formation of habits and the steps it takes to create new habits that enrich our lives. I now use this book a resource when I’m ready to shift an unhelpful habit or pattern into one that serves me better.
