Even though I know this stuff, understanding it and living it are two different things! I absolutely know that if I’m forgetful, have trouble focusing, feel scattered, and am teetering on the brink of overwhelm, those are absolutely normal and typical aspects of moving through a transition. The trick is to remember it in the moment! It’s useful to take a deep breath or two, and remember that I’m normal, the experience is normal, this too will change, and all is well, all is well, all is well. When I’m at my finest, I know and experience in every cell that all is well, all is well, all is well. When I’m not at my finest, I’d love to remember that all is well, all is well, all is well!
What’s “normal” (though possibly not pleasant) when you are experiencing some phase of transition?
